SIMPLE LEVEL 2

Simple Level 2 criteria;


By completing Simple Level 2, with or without floatation equipment or support, I can; 


- Safely jump in to the water from poolside to a minimum depth of 0.9 metres.

- Blow bubbles for 5 seconds with mouth and nose under the water.

- Fully submerge head under the water.

- Perform a star float on the front and return to standing with minimal adult support.

- Push and glide on front for at least 3 meters – with arms either by the side of the body or above the head with face in the water. 

- Swim on front or back for at least 10 meters using a woggle/floats without touching the pool floor.

- Change direction while swimming on front when using a woggle/floats with minimal adult support.

- Perform a log roll from front to back with adult support, if required. 

- Explain the importance of one core aquatic skill when asked by the teacher (i.e. ‘Why is a streamlined position so important?’ or ‘Why do we need to blow bubbles while our faces are in the water?’).

- Exit the pool without adult support (by climbing out or using stairs/ladders).
