Monifieth High School Information
The below information is a walk through for parents/guardians attending the venue, as well as some general information.

Venue information/parking
- Our Monifieth venue is; Monifieth High School, Panmurefield Rd, Monifieth, Dundee DD5 4QT.
(It is right beside the old school.)
What to do before you leave home;
- The changing rooms are open for use before and after the class.
- Please ensure children arrive 'swim ready' to the pool (i.e. children should wear swimming costume/shorts underneath clothes which can be easily removed, such as jogging trousers, hoody and flip flops). This removes the need to get changed before the lesson and reduces congestion in the changing rooms.
- A swim bag must be brought to keep clothes in during the lesson, as well as a towel. This bag can be left with parents or in the changing room lockers during the class.
- Please do not bring prams onto the poolside. This is a safety measure to avoid obstacles being in the way of lifeguards.
What to do when you arrive at the building;
- On arrival at the building/carpark, please enter the School by using the external door (as shown in the video below).

How to find the building/car park;
Once children are with us in the pool, parents/guardians would then need to leave the pool area. There is not a viewing area.
Parents/guardians can stay in the table/chairs area in the foyer during the classes.
- Please wait at the drop off point when ready to swim

- Teachers will then organise children into their classes.
- Outdoor shoes must be removed before going into the changing rooms. Blue shoe covers will be provided for those who cannot remove their socks and shoes, due to medical issues/religious beliefs, etc.
What to do once the lesson is finished
How to get to the changing rooms and pool,
from the car park;
5 minutes before the end of the class, parents/guardians must come back to the changing room exits on poolside and wait until the session ends for pick up.
The changing rooms are unisex, with private changing cubicles and lockers.
Please do not leave your items in the changing cubicles, items must be stored in the lockers.
General points
- Please ensure children use the toilet before their lesson begins
- Strictly no photography or mobile phones are permitted on poolside
- Please ensure children bring goggles to the classes.
